The mission of the University of Pennsylvania Black Alumni Society is to promote the permanent presence and success of Black alumni, students, staff and community through professional, educational, and social programs and networks.

For decades, BAS has hosted gatherings at Penn’s major events, including Homecoming, the Penn Relays, and Alumni Weekend. Today the society is growing its regional chapters, so the ties that began on campus keep growing across cities and decades.

The board focuses on programming, philanthropy, and member engagement. BAS is a Penn Alumni group, and any Penn alum can join.
